Last year, we hid a couple kegs of Contains Bees for a special purpose: to age it in barrels for you. The barrels we chose have been on a journey: they were filled with both Heaven Hills bourbon and 11 Wells rum before coming to our brewery.
When we filled these barrels with our creamy peanut butter honey blonde, the beer took on the warming honey characteristics of rum and the toastiness of oak barrels. The resulting beer is a golden sunset of flavors that are more valuable than a pirate's treasure. Warm honey, creamy peanut butter, and beachy rum will send you overboard. It rings in at 5.2% ABV and 15 IBU.
This beer will be available in crowlers only, starting Wednesday (today). The quantities are limited, so consider preordering yours online for pickup.
