Another Anniversary Beer Release
We’ve brewed the perfect all-day sipper for you to knock back on 4/20. Our Double Dry Hopped Berliner Weisse is a low-ABV, no-IBU beer that marries sour characteristics to hazy hoppiness and throws in a dash of light breadiness for good measure. We made this specialty release just for our anniversary, so come grab a pint starting on Saturday 4/20 at 11am. Check out the event details here.
About the Style
The Berliner Weisse is traditionally a pale and refreshing, low-ABV and low-IBU, sour beer with fruit and/or wheat characteristics. It has a light body and high carbonation, making it an easy pour for spring and summer.
We offer our own take on this classic style through a double dry hopped brew. To start, we use a range of German malts including wheat and pilsner variants, which contribute to the light breadiness. Lactobacillus in the kettle drives the sourness that is characteristic of the style. We then added our own twist by double dry hopping with Denali, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops, which bring orange citrus flavors along with mild earthy and herbal undertones.
The result is a light-bodied, bready brew with a clean lactic sourness complemented by citrusy hop characters.
